Bloodflower is a collaboration between two long-term friends; artist, Jonnie Owen and producer, Tom Manning. What started out as a creative experiment has progressed into a long-term musical partnership, bolstered by a full live band setup.
Building on the foundations set by early offerings (Indigo, Horizon), 2015 saw Bloodflower release their debut, 'Noise EP' to critical acclaim receiving support from the likes of Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1/BBC Introducing, John Kennedy and Eddy Temple Morris on XFM, Chris Hawkins on BBC Radio 6, Jim Gellatly & Shell Zenner on Amazing Radio, with features in Music Week, the405, Artrocker and D.i.S.
The 'Noise EP' campaign culminated in a sell out Club NME headline slot at Koko in London to 2000 people, and a sell out gig with Bombay Bicycle Club at the Garage. Bloodflower were also invited by Edith Bowman to support Lucy Rose at her book launch.
Bloodflower are currently at the beginning of the campaign for their 2nd EP, 'Piano Songs'.
First single 'Help Me Out' has already gained early radio play with Huw Stephens on Radio 1, Bethan Elfyn and Adam Walton for BBC Introducing. 'Piano Songs' will be released in May with a music video for 2nd single release 'Silence’.
