Dementio13: Soothing The Village Idiot

from #MoreInCommon HOPE not hate by Various Artists

/

about

Cardiff-based Paul Foster records as Dementio13, Diebenkorn and The Reasonable People. Reflecting an eclectic approach, he cites influences as diverse as early Factory Records bands, classic and obscure movie soundtracks, experimental electronic music, Radiophonics, 'Krautrock', drum n bass and all points in between. His music has been variously described as electronica, dance, post-rock and ambient. Besides recording solo, he has collaborated with, and remixed, a broad range of artists; most prolifically with Laurence Made Me Cry and The Shed Collective. His music can be found at dementio13.com and on Soundcloud as Tanzwuth Recordings.
"Soothing The Village Idiot" was formed during sessions at home in Cardiff for an aborted album release late in 2015. It's a slice of atmospheric krautrock-infused electronica inspired by, amongst other things, classic British folk horror movies.
