Based in Derbyshire, ‘Lippy Kid’ is the name given to my Derbyshire based electronica project.
Launched in 2012 the Lippy Kid Electronica Project has always been driven by the sense of collaboration.
Thought Form V (Irpinia) is a companion track to the forthcoming Audio Visual project ‘Thought Forms’ conceived in collaboration with the Leeds based artist Greg Farndon. The project focuses on sounds and images hidden behind everyday forms. The people and things we take for granted, but when subjected to more patient study, reveal far more than the sum of their parts.
It’s a huge honour to be asked to contribute to the HOPE Not Hate compilation album. It’s easy to relate to its key message of ‘More In Common’. It’s a message instilled into me from an early age and I feel I’ve appreciated and respected throughout my whole life.
The track Irpinia is dedicated to my father as it’s the name of the ship that brought him to the UK shores, without which I wouldn’t be writing this now. But I also dedicated to anyone out there who is battling inconceivable odds simply to create hope for their future.
